What We Do

• Trailering

For most people who own horses, they are  like a member of the family. Eqs Calibre (pronounced "Excaliber") is a family owned business specializing in transporting horses safely and effeciently from barn to barn, barn to shows, or whatever your needs may be.  We operate from our farm (The Stables at Whittingham) in Fredon (Sussex County) and currently serve throughout NJ.

•  Lessoning

If you (or your children) are interested in learning to ride English, our instructors with years of riding and show experience, will be happy to oblige with an introductory lesson.  After that, single lessons or lessoning packages are available.  If you (or your children) become interested in showing we can provide the horse and, of course,  the trailering.

• Training

Not all horses feel comfortable walking into a trailer.  There was a time when some of ours didn't.  If this has been your experience, we will be happy to schedule time to work with your horse(s).  Please note that we want no part of loading/trailering a horse who must be physically forced into a trailer.  

If your horse needs some extra (English) training or simply is not being ridden enough, we can schedule time to address those needs.

• Boarding

Occasionally we have space for those interested in boarding (stall and rough).  We keep the number of horses we allow on the property low so that we can provide a more personal service and ample pasture.  Run in shed is on the property as well as automatic watering system.  In addition to square bales, round bales are available from Fall  to  Spring.  Professionally installed riding ring (outdoor) is also on site.
